11th National Korean Dress Exhibition Held
Pyongyang, November 2 (KCNA) -- The 11th National Korean Dress Exhibition was held from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1 at the Central Youth Hall.

Technicians, skilled workers and needle workers of factories and enterprises specializing in making garment and tailor shops in various parts of the country participated in the exhibition.

Also present there were teachers and researchers of education organs and institutes and members of the women's union.

On display in the exhibition were more than 1 200 Korean costumes including casual dress, holiday dress, wedding dress and children's wear, and men's and women's season wear.

Drawing interest of participants were chima (Korean women's long skirt) and jogori (Korean women's jacket) which look beautiful, graceful and elegant for the proper color blend and patterns suited to national flavor and fashion of the times and varieties of garment for various seasons fit for different ages, figures and tastes.

There was a workshop to improve the garment-making skills of the participants while the exhibition was under way.

The Junggu Combined Tailor Shop and the Taesong District Combined Tailor Shop placed first among those from Pyongyang City and North Phyongan Province came first among provinces.
