Anti-Reunification Nature of "Confidence-Building Process" Touted by S. Korean Authorities Disclosed

Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- The "confidence-building process" which the south Korean authorities touted as their "policy towards the north" is a hostile policy towards the DPRK from A to Z as it clearly reflects hostility toward fellow countrymen and their scenario to escalate the confrontation of the social systems, Rodong Sinmun Monday says in an article. The south Korean ruling quarters' talk about "changes" are prompted by their distrust of the DPRK, the article notes, and goes on: To hope for "changes" in the DPRK is as foolish an act as expecting the earth to break up. It is needless to say that the "confidence" touted by those with such daydream can never come true. Their "confidence-building process" is nothing but a traitorous confrontation policy to realize their ridiculous scenario of achieving the "unification of the social systems". The puppet minister of Unification of south Korea was reported to have uttered as regards that process that "he aspired after great unification, beginning with a small unification." He means achieving "small unification" in the sense of an "economic community" and then realizing "great unification" in the sense of "political integration". It is little different from the sinister scenario for achieving "the step- by-step unification of the social systems" advocated by the successive rulers of south Korea. This is unacceptable to everybody as it is designed to achieve "the unification of the social systems," a factor of stoking distrust and confrontation between the north and the south. Herein lie the anti-reunification nature and gravity of the "confidence-building process". The south Korean authorities should bear in mind that they are bound to be tried by public and Koreans for working hard to hurt someone and they are the very ones who should bring about changes. |
