Rodong Sinmun Raps Japan's Scenario for Reinvasion
Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- Some days ago the Japanese Foreign Ministry posted a video making a "claim to Tok Islets." It made clumsy excuses that it produced and posted the video on its website to explain the historical background and reasons under international law for the purpose of letting public at home and abroad know that Tok Islets are part of "Japan's inalienable territory".

Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in a commentary in this regard:

The claim of the Japanese reactionaries to Tok Islets was prompted by the Japanese militarists' bellicose scenario for reinvasion and wild ambition for territorial expansion, all aimed to realize their old dream of "the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" at any cost.

Now that the islets have been confirmed to be part of the territory of Korea in name and reality in the light of geography, history and international law, there is no reason for Japan to raise a claim to the islets, the commentary notes, and goes on:

It is the ulterior intention of the Japanese reactionaries to internationalize and politicize the issue of the islets in a bid to turn them into ones in dispute and thus launch reinvasion under that pretext.

The moves of the Japanese reactionaries for militarization have gone beyond the tolerance limit and their moves for overseas expansion are being pushed forward in real earnest.

At present the military muscle of Japan has been bolstered up to be aggressor forces with offensive capabilities in all services, ground, air and naval forces. What remains to be done is just to secure a pretext for invading other countries.

The Japanese reactionaries regard the DPRK as their primary target of their overseas aggression. Just as the Japanese imperialists did in the past, the Japanese reactionaries are keen to realize their old dream of "the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" using the Korean Peninsula as a springboard.

Tok Islets will as always remain part of the territory of Korea. The Japanese authorities should face up to this reality and awake from an anachronistic daydream, concludes the commentary.
