Tokyo Metropolitan Authorities Accused of Their Undisguised Discrimination against Koreans

| Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- Against the backdrop of the worsening discrimination of the Japanese government against Korean schools in Japan the Tokyo Metropolitan authorities on Nov. 1 announced a step of not including subsidies to Korean schools in the metropolitan budget for 2014. In a press conference the governor of Tokyo Metropolis made the absurd remarks that to pay subsidies to Korean schools cannot get understanding of the metropolitan people. The metropolis has suspended since 2010 the payment of subsidies to Korean schools, pursuant to the Japanese government's discriminating policy regarding the aid program for Korean schools. It had paid subsidies to foreign schools since1995. The Japanese government's undisguised national discrimination is sparking off the towering resentment of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and Koreans in Japan. |
