River Improvement in Northern Part of DPRK
Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- North Hamgyong Province in the northeastern part of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has recently readjusted 20-odd minor rivers and streams.

The province set it as a main goal for autumn land management to improve rivers and streams in cities and counties and concentrated its efforts on this improvement project.

Those in Yonsa County removed more than 4 000 cubic meters of earth from Yonmyon stream flowing through its township, adding to its scenery.

Musan County carried out much volume of earth from Songchon stream and successfully finished its embankment.

Hwadae and Kilju counties directed big efforts to reinforcing the embankment of Namdae stream. To this end, Kilju County removed 3 800 cubic meters of earth and carried out more than 1 500 square meters of embankment.

The city of Chongjin successfully conducted embankment project along the banks of Susong and Rabuk streams.
