Kaesong-Ryongthong Temple-Pakyon Ring Road Built in DPRK
Kaesong, November 5 (KCNA) -- Kaesong-Ryongthong Temple-Pakyon ring road was built in the DPRK.

Kaesong boasts its ancient history as the capital city of Koryo (918-1392), the first unified state in Korea which existed nearly for 500 years.

There are in Kaesong the Mausoleum of King Wang Kon (the first reign), the Mausoleum of King Kong Min(31st reign), Sungyang School, Phyochung Monuments, Sonjuk Bridge, Koryo Songgyunkwan, Manwol Pavilion, Kaesong Chomsongdae Observatory, Ryongthong Temple and other historical sites, Pakyon Falls and other scenic spots.

On display at Ryongthong Temple are Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, Sakyamuni and other large Buddha, Buddhist pictures, gold-printed paintings, landscape paintings and ceramic works, etc.

Pakyon Falls 37m high and 1.5m wide in Pakyon-ri is known as one of the three major famous water falls along with Kuryong Falls in Mt. Kumgang and Taesung Falls in Mt. Solak.

The building of the ring road makes it possible to provide people with better conditions for cultural and emotional life.
