S. Korean Conservative Group Accused of Moving to Violate Democracy
|

Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- Friendship organizations of Russia and Nigeria issued statements on October 29, lashing out at the south Korean conservative group for its moves to forcibly disorganize the Unified Progressive Party (UPP). The Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK said that the whirlwind of disbanding the UPP is sweeping the whole of south Korea by benighted forces standing against democracy. It went on: It is preposterous, indeed, to work to dissolve the UPP by linking it with the DPRK and claiming it tried to "pull down the state." We bitterly denounce the south Korean conservative forces for trying to violate democracy in south Korea. The Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association said: The present south Korean conservative forces and the "Saenuri Party" of south Korea are desperately working to forcibly disorganize the UPP, which was legally organized and active in line with the will and wish of the working people. We brand this grave situation prevailing in south Korea as a blatant challenge to the majority of working people demanding democracy of society and genuine freedom of political activities, and an unpardonable fascist act of going against the trend advancing toward justice and progress. |
