S. Korean Authorities' Crackdown upon Progressive Political Party Accused by Foreign Political Figures
Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- Political figures of Serbia and Indonesia issued statements on October 31 accusing the south Korean authorities' crackdown upon the progressive party.

The general secretary of the New Yugoslav Communist Party of Serbia said:

The south Korean authorities are getting all the more frantic in crackdown on the progressive political parties and organizations.

Their moves are nothing but a trick to tide over ruling crisis by hushing up the people's increasing anti-"government" opinions.

They should immediately halt their acts that are quite contrary to the nation's desire for the country's independent and peaceful reunification, and respond to the just proposal of the DPRK for implementing the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration, the programme for its implementation.

Harinde Singh, secretary general of the National Leading Council of the Diversity Party of Indonesia, said that the south Korean authorities' moves to disband the Unified Progressive Party by linking it with the DPRK are aimed to prevent the development of the inter-Korean relations.

He strongly demanded the south Korean authorities immediately stop the acts of driving the inter-Korean relations to extremes for realizing their purposes.
