Minju Joson Dismisses U.S. Talk about "World without Nuclear Weapons" Hypocritical
Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- The Obama Administration pushes forward the 60 billion U.S. dollars worth plan for modernization of nuclear weapons for 25 years onward, according to the Scientists' Union of the U.S.

Minju Joson Wednesday says in a commentary in this regard:

The Obama Administration is deluged with a flurry of international criticism for not following through on its commitment not to develop new nuclear weapons and realize a "world without nuclear weapons".

Question is why the U.S., which badly needs modernization of nuclear weapons, claimed realizing a "world without nuclear weapons".

Almost all the nuclear weapons the U.S. now has are products that used the old technology dating back to the Cold War era. The U.S. sees it impossible to hold supremacy in the field of strategic attack weapons with those nuclear weapons.

Particularly, it is providing much input into keeping the nukes that were overproduced under the Cold War policy, and prolonging their shelf life.

This left the Obama Administration with the task to readjust the old nuclear weapons and fill the nuclear arsenals with new-type weapons.

So, the U.S. began trumpeting about realizing a "world without nuclear weapons". Under the pretext of "nuclear disarmament" the U.S. is replacing old nukes by new ones while forcing its strategic rivals to scrap nukes in order to weaken their nuclear capability. This is the sinister attempt of the U.S.

This proves that the stand of the U.S. remains unchanged as it regards nukes as a main means for realizing its strategy for world domination.

The U.S. future plan envisages producing high-performance nuclear weapons with new technology to make their warheads to be mounted on weapons with diverse missions.

Nuclear threats to humankind are becoming a reality by the U.S. The present situation proves that the U.S. is the world's worst nuclear criminal and the chieftain of nuclear arms race.
