S. Korean Regime's Step for Dissolving Opposition Party Protested

Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- The spokesman for the opposition Unified Progressive Party (UPP) of south Korea held a press conference at the "National Assembly" building on Tuesday in protest against the puppet authorities' unreasonable step to forcibly dissolve the party. Recalling that the regime passed the bill calling for judgment on the UPP's disbandment at the "State Council meeting" that day, the spokesman said it is little short of formally declaring the "yusin" dictatorship. This is stunning all the people as it is a shameless and poor politically-motivated retaliation, he said. The authorities' step is chiefly aimed to conceal the truth about the illegal acts during the last "presidential election", he held. We will not remain a passive onlooker at the undemocratic violence, he said, warning that his party will together with all other people fight against the suppression. |
