Scientists, technicians and field officials of production units in the field of pomiculture, institutes and education organs participated in it.

The presentation was divided into such panels as production of fruit saplings, cultivation, blights and farm machines.

Presented to it were more than 130 research papers from the National Fruit Agency, Ministry of Agriculture, Academy of Agricultural Science, Bioengineering Branch of the State Academy of Sciences, Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm, Sukchon University of Agriculture, etc.

Those who took the floor referred to the successes they made by dynamically conducting scientific researches and production activities.

Drawing the interest of the participants were treatises solving the sci-tech problems arising in cultivation of fruit trees including the methods for producing new-type fruit saplings, efficient insecticides and agricultural machines and the method for increasing the fruit-bearing rate of trees.

Appreciated were the papers including those on the establishment of system for mass-producing stock of low apple trees based on virus-free cultivation (Bioengineering Branch of the State Academy of Sciences), experience gained in producing grape saplings for the creation of grape orchards (Sariwon Fruit Farm), effects of natural scent nano insecticide (Kosan Fruit Farm) and the method of exterminating insects by using dispersant extracted from natural aromatic tree (Pyongyang Fruit Farm).
