There were basketball matches between girl and boy students of the two universities at Pyongyang Indoor Stadium on Wednesday.

The men and women' matches ended in 93:74 and 64:51 respectively in favor of Korea University of Physical Education.

Kenshiro Matsunami, managing director of Nippon Sport Science University, told KCNA he hoped that university students of the two countries would establish friendly relationship and deepen trust with each other through sports exchanges.

A girl, Yuka Kosge, and a boy, Ryotaro Honma, of the Japanese university, said that they gained good experience in the matches with DPRK players, well prepared in physical and technical terms, at the splendid stadium.

The delegation consists of 60-odd persons, with 16 men and women cagers and 16 women and 14 men footballers included.

The first sports exchange between thwo sports universities took place in Pyongyang in November Juche 101 (2012).

At that time, their students had joint trainings and matches in football, wrestling and Judo events.
