It also carried a special write-up on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of the October 4 declaration illustrated with a photo of leader Kim Jong Il meeting with south Korean President Roh Moo Hyun in Pyongyang in October 2007.

It dedicated an article titled "October and Workers' Party of Korea" to the 68th anniversary of the WPK.

The article said the Down-with-Imperialism Union was formed on October 17, 1926 and the WPK was founded on October 10, 1945.

The WPK elected Kim Jong Il as its general secretary on October 8, 1997, it added.

The magazine edited statements made public by the spokesmen for the DPRK National Defence Commission (NDC), the Policy Department of the NDC, DPRK, the General Staff of the Korean People's Army, the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK, the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea, etc., as regards the current issues related to the inter-Korean relations and the DPRK-U.S. relations.

Seen in the magazine are historical data on the establishment of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and Russia in 1948 to mark the 65th anniversary of the opening of diplomatic ties.
