S. Korean Authorities' Crackdown on Progressive Forces Denounced
Pyongyang, November 9 (KCNA) -- Political parties and organizations of various countries issued statements on October 31 accusing the south Korean puppet group's crackdown upon the progressive forces.

The Communist Party of the Soviet Union in Russia and the International Social Federation "For the Union and Union's Communist Party" of Belarus in a joint statement said that the south Korean puppet conservative group has been hell bent on its foolish and illegal crackdown upon the progressive forces including the Unified Progressive Party (UPP).

The statement went on:

Such foolish acts of the south Korean authorities remind one of the times when "neo-fascism and McCarthyism" were prevalent.

It is surely just that the DPRK disclosed the south Korean conservative group's moves.

We strongly accuse the smear campaign of the south Korean conservative group which drives the situation on the Korean Peninsula and in the rest of Northeast Asia to the extremes.

We also positively support the DPRK's just stand of struggling for freedom and democracy.

The Group of Youth for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea in Vienna urged the south Korean authorities to immediately halt its crackdown upon the UPP.
