Nigatu Dagnachew, chairman of the Ethiopian Youth Study Group of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to organize colorful political and cultural events to widely introduce the immortal revolutionary exploits performed by Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of his demise.
