The Measure Committee to Denounce the Intelligence Service's Fabrication of Plotted Rebellion and Suppression under the Pretext of Security consisting of civic and public organizations of south Korea held a press conference outside the court and demanded an immediate release of those related to the case.

At the press conference speakers said that the prosecution's indictment is full of groundless assertions that to call for independence, democracy and reunification means following the north and an attempt at a rebellion.

They condemned the conservative media for describing even mountaineering in winter as a drill in the coldest season.

Such things hardly imaginable with normal thinking and reason are taking place in south Korea, they deplored.

They denounced Park Geun Hye for working hard to forcibly disband a progressive political party just as Park Chung-Hee did during the era of "yusin" dictatorship. Park Geun Hye should draw a lesson from the miserable end of Park Chung-Hee, they warned.

The case of the UPP was fabricated to conceal the election rigging, they said, urging the court to declare those related to the case not guilty and set them free.
