The commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces in the Pacific, referring to the nuclear missile "threat" from the DPRK, spread a rumor that it threatens the regional peace and stability.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday observes in a commentary this is nonsensical sophism.

All threats wrecking world peace are coming from the U.S., the commentary says, and goes on:

What the U.S. seeks is to justify its moves against the DPRK and meet its sinister purpose by charging the DPRK with "wrecking peace" at any cost.

The U.S. arms buildup and war maneuvers in the Asia-Pacific region are posing a great threat to those countries in the region. Not a few countries in the region are opting for increasing military capabilities to cope with the U.S. military threat. The danger of a new arms race and possible military conflict lingers in the region. Nevertheless, the U.S. is taking issue with the DPRK, a shameless ploy to conceal its true colors as the wrecker of the regional peace and stability and shift the blame onto the DPRK.

The U.S. is releasing a false report against the DPRK. This is a challenge to the DPRK. The U.S is seriously mistaken if it thinks it can deceive the world and attain its aim with such a poor trick.

It is the invariable goal of the DPRK to protect the peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in the Asia-Pacific region.

The U.S. authorities should clearly face up to the situation and stop freely wagging their tongues.
