The concours brought together at least 70 instrumental players from seven countries including the DPRK, Russia, Belarus and Uzbekistan.

Divided into five categories such as bayan, accordion and piano, students, teachers and artistes had first and second contests.

Paek and Song showed excellent rendition in bayan duet in the instrumental ensemble category to be highly acclaimed by the jury and the audience.

They played several famous music pieces in the bayan and accordion solo category.

At a closing ceremony on November 11 Korean artistes were awarded the certificate for the special prize and special cup in the instrumental ensemble category. Song Kyong Op was awarded the certificate and cup for the first place in the bayan and accordion solo category while Paek the certificate for the second place in the same category.
