Rodong Sinmun Accuses U.S. of Slandering DPRK over Spread of WMDs
Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- Recently U.S. President Obama announced it would extend one year the national emergency situation declared as administration order No. 12398. The U.S. has made such fuss every year since 1994, asserting that WMDs and delivery means of other countries are posing unprecedentedly big threats to its national security, diplomatic policy and economy.

Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in an article in this regard:

What matters is that the U.S. is taking issue with the DPRK over its alleged spread of WMDs.

It is none other than the U.S. which has stockpiled more offensive weaponry including missiles and nuclear weapons than any other countries in the world and deployed its forces in different parts of the world.

The building of the missile shield stepped up by the U.S. is not to "protect" itself and other countries and regions from someone's "threat".

The aim sought by the U.S. in pushing ahead with the building of the missile shield under the fictitious "threat" from the DPRK is to pose an increasing military threat to it and mobilize missiles any moment to stifle it by disabling its strategic deterrence at one blow. It is also designed to make the DPRK's "threat" a fait accompli in a bid to justify its moves for building MD for dominating the world. In other words, it is a major objective of the U.S. to establish MD at any cost under the pretext of the DPRK's "missile threat" and thus contain big powers challenging the U.S. strategy for a unipolar world.

The U.S. would be well advised to stop its foolish act to attain its aim for aggression under the pretext of the DPRK's "nuclear and missile threat".
