Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- South Korean organizations and opposition parties on Nov. 14 assailed the puppet prosecution for its repressive move to make full-dress investigation into members of the Government Employees Union and the Teachers Union on the suspicion that they expressed their views on the candidates during the past "presidential election". The Confederation of Trade Unions termed the prosecution's investigation a ploy to gloss over the illegal interference of power organs in the election and a crackdown on progressive organizations. A spokesman for the Democratic Party said that the prosecution is working hard to investigate unionists at a high speed though it read other's face while making an investigation into the organized interference of power organs in the election. Can the gravity of the organized interference of power organs in the election be compared with unionists' expression of individual views, he queried. Such behavior of the prosecution cannot but cast doubt that it is a retaliatory investigation conducted at the instruction of the regime, he charged. A spokesman for the Justice Party ridiculed that if this is allowed to happen, all those who did not support Park Geun Hye may become targets of investigation. It is better for the prosecution to abandon investigation if it has an intention to tide over the crisis by cracking down on ordinary organizations while sidestepping the investigation into the illegal acts which should be properly probed, he noted. The regime should no longer keep mum about the strong demand of the people for thorough investigation into the illegal actions of power organs, he stressed. |
