S. Korean Chief Executive's Remarks Slammed
Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Internet paper Voice of People on Nov. 19 carried an editorial titled the "President's policy speech neglects all people and 'National Assembly'".

The editorial said that on Nov. 18 Park Guen Hye made a "policy speech," the first of its kind since she took office, but the speech is peppered with admonitions made against the opposition camp and the people as regards the social crisis.

The present crisis was triggered off by the obstructions of the investigation into the power organs' interference in the election, moves to cover up the truth about it and dissolve the progressive political party and continued non-fulfillment of commitments to economic democracy and people's wellbeing, the editorial said, and went on:

Therefore, the chief executive's speech should help alleviate the people's worries about all these things.

This being a hard reality, she let loose a spate of such irresponsible remarks that the "National Assembly is the center of politics" and "she would respect and accept anything if ruling and opposition parties have sufficient discussions and reach an agreement". Was it not the chief executive who interfered in every matter to bar the NA from exercising any political influence, it queried.

A particular mention should be made of the fact that even before making the "policy speech" she let police encircle the building of the NA and as soon as the speech was over, policemen committed violence against a lawmaker from an opposition party. This dramatically showed Chongwadae's violation of law and symbolically indicated the chief executive's message to opposition parties.

There is a limit to the people's patience, the editorial noted, warning that the regime making a mockery of public mind-set and trampling down opposition parties can never last for a long time.
