Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- It is the invariable will of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people to boost the DPRK-China friendly and cooperative relations, say the DPRK's leading newspapers Saturday. President Kim Il Sung signed the DPRK-China agreement on economic and cultural cooperation with Premier Zhou Enlai. The conclusion of the agreement confirmed the overall framework and orientation for developing the cooperation in the economic and cultural sectors between the two countries and marked a historic occasion in putting strong spurs to the development of the bilateral traditional relations of friendship and cooperation, says Rodong Sinmun in an article. To boost the economic and cultural cooperation and friendly relations between the two countries provides an important guarantee for successfully pushing forward the revolution and construction in the two countries, defusing the daily escalating tension on the Korean Peninsula and in the rest of Northeast Asia and preserving global peace and security, the article says, and goes on: It is the invariable will of our party and people to bring into full bloom the traditional DPRK-China friendship generation after generation. Our party and people will make positive efforts to boost the DPRK-China friendly and cooperative relations in the future, too, as desired by Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. The DPRK-China friendly and cooperative relations provided and developed by the leaders of the elder generation of the DPRK and China will grow stronger day by day as required by the new era and common desire of the two peoples under the deep care of the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries. Minju Joson in an article notes that the Korean people will as ever conduct brisk economic and cultural exchange and cooperation in the common interests of the two peoples. |
