Minju Joson Warns S. Korea Not to Forget Lesson from Yonphyong Island Shelling Case

Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- It is three years since the Yonphyong Island shelling case occurred. On this occasion all Koreans hope such misfortune will not happen again. However, the south Korean puppet group is reacting to this public mindset with a frantic racket for a war against the DPRK. Having loudly advertised the "3rd anniversary of the Yonphyong island shelling" since early in November the south Korean warmongers held a "meeting to vow to counter the provocation from the enemy" on Nov. 20 in order to agitate a war against the DPRK. They staged war maneuvers all at once in the East, West and South Seas of Korea under the pretext of "countering provocations." They made no scruple of opening to public how massively they have reinforced their troops and war hardware on five islands in the West Sea of Korea including Yonphyong Island. Minju Joson Saturday comments in this regard: This is a deliberate criminal act to drive the situation on the Korean Peninsula into an extreme phase. It is the ulterior motive of the warmongers to mislead public opinion by creating impression that the Yonphyong Island shelling took place due to the DPRK's "provocations" in a bid to justify and step up the moves for a war against the DPRK. What merits a serious attention is that the present ruling quarters in south Korea are putting spurs to the war moves against the DPRK kicked off by the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors. The present ruling quarters are worse than the Lee group in belligerence. In a word, the Park Geun Hye regime is poised to stand in confrontation with the DPRK to the last. This will only precipitate its self-destruction. If the puppet group persists in its moves for a war against the DPRK, recklessly straining the situation as now, far from drawing a lesson from the Yonphyong Island shelling, the army and people of the DPRK will shower dozen-fold deadlier blows upon it. The puppet group of south Korea would be well advised to stop its reckless acts, bearing this in mind. |
