Successes Made in Autumn Land Management
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- People from across the country are achieving successes in the autumn general mobilization drive for land management.

Projects for construction and technical improvement of roads have progressed much earlier than scheduled.

Officials and other people in Songgan County, Jagang Province have wound up the improvement of roads extending tens of km in a short span of time.

Kosan County, Kangwon Province face-lifted roads extending more than 10 kilometers in a matter of a week.

Kumchon County, North Hwanghae Province widened roads by using at least 50 000 cubic meters of earth.

The project for ensuring road security and convenience in traffic made brisk headway in Chonma County, North Phyongan Province. It built two bridges. Hamju, Hongwon and Pukchong counties, South Hamgyong Province finished the repair of bridges.

People in different parts of the country are increasing the production of saplings, while reinforcing foundations of sapling producers.

Songwon County, Jagang Province produced more than 11 million saplings in the wake of laying a foundation for putting the production of humus-pot saplings on a normal footing.

Hochon County, South Hamgyong Province built a new mother nursery of saplings covering more than ten hectares while face-lifting nurseries by covering them with at least 14 000 cubic meters of fertile soil.

Hoeryong City and Musan County, North Hamgyong Province are cultivating a lot of saplings of good species after putting the production of saplings on a scientific, industrial and intensive basis.

River improvement projects are also going full steam ahead.

Officials and other people of Kanggye and Huichon cities and Jasong and Jonchon counties, Jagang Province have pushed ahead with the dike projects after setting river improvement as an important work for land administration.

Ryongsong District and Kangdong and Kangnam counties in Pyongyang finished river embankment projects during the drive.
