Park Geun Hye's Policy of Agriculture Flayed

Pyongyang, November 24 (KCNA) -- The Way of Farmers with the People of south Korea, an organization grouping the Federation of Peasants Associations, the Association of the Environment and Agriculture Organizations and other peasants organizations, held a rally in Seoul on November 22 accusing the authorities of their unreasonable policy of wiping out agriculture and peasants.

Present at the rally were more than 20 000 peasants from across south Korea.

At the rally speakers said there was not a precedent by which dictatorial regimes took care of the peasants' living.

Saying that it is the essential requirements for preserving the weak agriculture to check the rice market from being opened and enforce the correct agricultural policy, they asserted that it is essential for the present "government" to settle such matters.

They stressed that they will wage the struggle for preserving the agriculture by the concerted efforts of peasants across the country.

A resolution was adopted at the rally. It urged the Park Geun Hye regime to take a measure for preserving agriculture.

Prior to the rally, the participants marched from Seoul Railway Station to the Seoul City Office.
