Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The Jonju Parish Priests Group of the south Korean Catholic Priests' Council for Justice held a mass on the situation in Kunsan, North Jolla Province on Nov. 22 in protest against the puppet ruling forces' illegal interference in the election. Speakers said the regime bereft of validity does not serve the people but encroaches upon their human rights and builds a repressive society. They demanded the arrest of Lee Myung Bak who let power organs wantonly interfere in the election. A statement was read out at the mass. It accused the chief executive of passing the buck for the interference in the election to others, pretending that she had nothing to do with the election rigging, though she is directly and wholly to blame for it, and refusing to make any probe into the truth or make apology. The election held in an illegal and fraudulent manner with power organs involved can be seen only in dictatorial society, it held. It urged the chief executive to apologize and step down as she is chiefly to blame for the election rigging. At the end of the mass the participants staged a demonstration, holding slogans "President, step down" and "We denounce illegal election and the president, step down". Then the participants held a candlelight rally and strongly condemned the puppet Intelligence Service and other power organs for their interference in the election. Meanwhile, a religious figure of the Jonju Parish Priests Group of the south Korean Catholic Priests' Council for Justice on Nov. 25 declared that he would carry on the campaign to force the puppet regime to step down. Last year's election was a fraudulent election held with power organs involved, he said. There are a lot of evidence proving that the results of vote-counting in the election were fabricated, he noted, adding that, after all, Park Geun Hye should step down. |
