A. Usupbayev, chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-"Kyrgyz El" Republican Political Party of Kyrgyzstan, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to hold colorful political and cultural events for praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of his demise.
