They included remembrance meetings, seminars and a lecture in Germany, Nepal and Benin from November 21 to 23.

The chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Germany said at the remembrance meeting that Kim Jong Il was a great leader who dedicated himself to the country and its people all his life.

He noted that thanks to Kim Jong Il's Songun revolutionary leadership the DPRK made a long drive despite the imperialists' persistent moves to stifle it.

Speakers including the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) said holding Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the eternal general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) was an expression of the Korean people's profound reverence and trust in him who performed great exploits on behalf of the country and revolution.

They noted Kim Jong Il is always remembered not only by the Korean people but by progressive humankind as he defended socialism and laid a firm foundation for building an economic power and improving the people's living standard with his Songun politics.

The president of the Socialist Party of Benin said in his lecture:

Kim Jong Il strengthened and developed the WPK into an invincible guiding force and the DPRK into an invincible socialist state and the Korean People's Army into a matchless and powerful army.

He, at the same time, turned the whole country into a big family by pursuing politics of love and trust and a politico-ideological power based on the single-minded unity of all people and laid an eternal foundation for carrying out the socialist cause to the last, undeterred by any tempest of history.
