The political theory clarified by the Songun idea of the WPK represents the theory on a revolutionary leadership method and political mode whereby the party and government of the working class organize and lead the popular masses' activities for the revolution and construction in a coordinated manner by applying the theory and principle of Songun revolution.

The originality of the political theory lies in that it formulated Songun politics as a main political mode under socialism and clarified from a new angle the issue of the ideological and moral factor of guaranteeing the enforcement of Songun politics.

It also developed in depth the theory on the leadership system and leadership art on a new high stage as required by the era and the developing revolution.

Leader Kim Jong Il clarified in a unique manner the philosophy on arms in which a revolution starts and advances and is brought to completion by dint of arms, the principle of Songun that an army precisely means a political party, state and people and the principle of giving priority to military affairs and putting the army before the working class and pursued Songun politics based on them.

Kim Jong Il's Songun revolutionary idea clearly indicates that the revolutionary soldier spirit of the Korean People's Army is the bottom line of Songun politics. In other words, it is the ideological and moral factor providing a sure guarantee for the full establishment of Songun politics and its successful enforcement.

The system of Songun leadership means unitary leadership system of the supreme commander over all revolutionary armed forces with the People's Army as the core and the system of state administration giving importance to defense.

In the above-said political theory the theory on the three revolutionary forces of Songun politics constitutes an important component part.

Thanks to the new clarification of the theory that the three revolutionary forces--Juche-oriented revolutionary party, invincible revolutionary armed forces and the single-minded unity of the revolutionary ranks-- are the mainstay of Songun politics and a powerful driving force for carrying out the revolutionary cause of Juche, the WPK's theory of Songun politics serves as a more perfect revolutionary theory.
