Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, Erik Anderson, international secretary of the Communist Party in Sweden, and the international secretary of the Communist Party of Sweden were elected co-chairmen of the committee.

The committee decided to hold colorful political and cultural events in praise of the revolutionary career and undying exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of his demise.
