Actions for Checking Disbandment of Progressive Political Party Called for in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- At least 40 organizations of south Korea including the Solidarity for Progress and the Federation of Peasants Associations declared the inauguration of the All-People Movement Headquarters Opposing Disbandment of the Unified Progressive Party in Seoul on Nov. 27. There took place a press conference on the inauguration that day. At the press conference speakers said the request for judging the disbandment of the UPP is a horrible sign heralding the full-scale enforcement of the dictatorial politics and a springboard for laying a foundation for the forcible dissolution of all organizations. If it is not checked, all people will become subject to suppression, they noted. To check the disbandment of the UPP is to win democracy, they said, calling upon all people to turn out in the action to this end. |
