Kim Jong Un Sends Greetings to Lao President
Pyongyang, December 1 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, Sunday sent a message of greeting to Choummaly Sayasone, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and president of Laos, on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Kim Jong Un in his message extended warm congratulations to the Lao president and, through him, to the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Lao government and people on the occasion.

The message said that the Korean people are rejoiced over the fact that the government and people of Laos have consolidated and developed their people's democratic system and made achievements in economic construction and the improvement of the people's standard of living and in developing the country's external relations by giving full play to patriotism and the spirit of self-reliance and self-development under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party since the founding of the republic and sincerely hope that everything will go well in friendly Laos.

It expressed the belief that the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would grow stronger as desired and wished by the two peoples, sincerely wishing the Lao president good health and success in his responsible job.
