The message noted with pleasure that the government and people of Laos have achieved the social and political stability of the country and successfully carried out the Seventh Five-Year Plan for social economic development under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

Expressing the belief that the traditional ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would continue to dynamically develop, it wished the prime minister greater success in his work.

On the same day Pak Ui Chun, minister of Foreign Affairs, sent a similar message to Thongloun Sisoulith, vice-prime minister and foreign minister of Laos.
