They were a remembrance meeting by the Socialist Party of Romania and a lecture by the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of DR Congo.

Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania, said:

HE Kim Jong Il developed the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities and performed great exploits for the Korean revolution and the global cause of independence.

In particular, in the 1990s when the imperialists were running wild in their moves against socialism, he published famous works scientifically proving the justice of the cause of socialism. He wisely led the struggle for the victory of socialism with his original Songun revolutionary leadership.

It is totally ascribable to his outstanding Songun revolutionary leadership that the socialist construction has dynamically advanced in the DPRK.

His life was dedicated to the victory of the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence.

His undying exploits will always be remembered by not only the Korean people but the Socialist Party of Romania and its members.

Otete Gaston Mboyo, vice-chairman of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of DR Congo, in his lecture on the theme of "Veteran statesman Kim Jong Il" lauded the exploits he performed on behalf of the era and history.
