Rodong Sinmun Demands Repeal of "Security Law" in S. Korea

Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- The repeal of the "Security Law" (SL) presents itself as an urgent task which brooks no further delay in south Korea where the "yusin" dictatorship has been revived, says Rodong Sinmun Monday in an article. It says: South Korea has been reduced to the world's worst tundra of human rights and the biggest grave yard of democracy as "yusin" dictatorship has revived. The south Korean puppet conservative regime is desperately invoking the fascist SL to stay in power as it seized power by telling all sorts of lies and employing gimmicks and intrigues and conducting a fraudulent election. Due to such actions, innocent people desirous of social progress, democracy and peaceful reunification are now being punished after being branded as "those following the north". It is an intolerable insult to human justice and conscience that there exists even in the highly civilized 21st century such a medieval unethical law that has reduced south Korea to a dark land under fascism and a graveyard of human rights. There can be no democracy in south Korea where the fascist dictatorship rides roughshod, and human rights abuses can never cease as long as such draconian SL reigns there. It is shameless and reckless, indeed, for the south Korean ruling forces to get frantic with provocations against the DPRK, blaming it for its "human rights" issue. They are sadly mistaken if they think they can dampen the desire of the people for achieving reunification through alliance with the north and realize their wild dream of long-term office by resorting to such outdated repressive means as the SL. |
