Rodong Sinmun Accuses U.S., S. Korean Warmongers of Straining Situation

Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- Some time ago, the U.S. and south Korean puppet authorities held a meeting of the committee for bolstering up capability for missile counteractions and worked out a joint strategy under the pretext of coping with the "missile threat" from someone. Meanwhile, the commander of the U.S.-south Korea combined forces said at a meet-the press that a proposal for establishing a south Korea-U.S. combined division is in the pipeline. Rodong Sinmun Monday says in a commentary in this regard: The moves of the U.S. and south Korean warmongers to tighten the military nexus are a grave military provocation to aggravate the situation on the Korean Peninsula and increase the danger of a war. The joint strategy worked out by them under the pretext of the non-existent "missile threat" from the DPRK is a revelation of their scenario for preemptive attack on it. This move is aimed at more perfectly rounding off the system for preemptive missile strike at the DPRK. Their projected south Korea-U.S. combined division amounts to an undisguised military threat to the DPRK. They are going mad with their moves to make the start of a nuclear war against the north an established fact and put them into practice. No matter how vociferously they may talk about the "threat" from the DPRK and "defense commitment" to cover up their wicked war scenario, they can never mislead public opinion at home and abroad. Their much-touted theory of "threat" is another version of the theory for preemptive attack on the north. The prevailing grave situation on the Korean Peninsula once again eloquently proves how just and far-sighted the DPRK was when it bolstered up its war deterrence despite all difficulties. |
