S. Korean PM's Pro-Japanese Act Assailed

Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- The south Korean paper Kyunghyang Daily News on Nov. 26 in an editorial denounced the puppet prime minister of south Korea for his pro-Japanese act. The "prime minister", during an interpellation as regards the history textbook whitewashing Japan's aggression of Korea at the "National Assembly," fully revealed his true colors as a pro-Japanese stooge and a descendant of the "yusin" dictatorship, the editorial said. He let loose a spate of reckless remarks because the "Saenuri Party" and ultra-right conservative group, after declaring a war of history, did not want to deny the embellishing of the Japanese imperialists' policy of aggression and praises of Syngman Rhee and Park Chung-Hee in the history textbooks. Those who wrote the history textbooks and the "prime minister" would have wanted to turn their faces away from the history of the Japanese imperialists' aggression of Korea. This is the conservative forces' understanding of history as they propped up the era of Syngman Rhee and Park Chung-Hee. Japan's distortion of history is directly linked with the conservative group's understanding of history. It is skeptical how the "prime minister" would approach Japan's distortion of history textbook and the issue of sexual slavery. |
