Sports Contest for Osandok Prize Opens
Pyongyang, December 3 (KCNA) -- A sports contest for Osandok Prize was opened with due ceremony in the Ice Rink on Tuesday to mark the birth anniversary of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero.

During the period of the contest the participants will compete in such events as ice-hockey, figure-skating, speed skating, short-track speed skating and skiing in various parts of the DPRK including Pyongyang and Samjiyon.

Present at the opening ceremony were Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials concerned and sportspersons.

Ri Jong Mu, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, made an opening speech.

At the end of the ceremony the men's ice-hockey match took place between the Taesongsan Sports Team and the Pyongyang Railway Bureau Sports Team.
