Ivan Draxler, chairman of the Slovakia-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee set the remembrance period from November 29 to December 18 and decided to organize diverse political and cultural events including remembrance meeting and film show to introduce revolutionary career and immortal exploits of Kim Jong Il.
