Rodong Sinmun Raps U.S. Frantic Arms Buildup in S. Korea

Pyongyang, December 4 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the United States decided to sell 40 F-35s to south Korea. Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes in a commentary in this regard: The U.S. aim of this arms sale is to prod the south Korean puppet group overheated with the ambition for invading the north into igniting a new war on the Korean Peninsula at any cost. Washington's another aim is to bring profits to the U.S. munitions monopolies. The U.S. is contemplating arming the south Korean puppet army with latest military hardware in a bid to launch a war against the DPRK through a preemptive attack on it. Air strike is a key mode employed by the U.S. in carrying out its war scenario for aggression. That is why the U.S. is providing fighters with powerful striking capability to the south Korean puppet forces and staging frequent joint military drills with them with main emphasis on large-scale air striking drills and operations to destroy depth of the DPRK. These war moves of the U.S. are rendering the situation on the Korean Peninsula and in its vicinity tenser. The U.S. deliberate acts of pushing the situation on the peninsula to an extreme phase by instigating the south Korean puppet forces may entail serious consequences and in that case the U.S. will be held wholly responsible for them. |
