Lot of Works on Juche-oriented and Popular Architecture Authored by Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il authored works which comprehensively deal with the Juche-oriented and popular ideas and theories on architecture in each period and at each stage of the nation-building. Kim Il Sung authored various works after the liberation of the country, putting an end to the history of all sorts of outdated and unpopular architecture in the preceding era and clarifying ideas and theories on the Juche-based architecture, the socialist architecture centering on the popular masses in which the Juche idea is embodied. Confident of the future of the triumphant country in the crucible of the Fatherland Liberation War, he published the work "On Mapping Out the Master Plan for the Postwar Reconstruction of Pyongyang," unrolling a grand blueprint for rehabilitation and construction. The works published by him in the difficult period of the postwar rehabilitation and construction comprehensively clarified the principles and ways to be firmly adhered to in creating and developing socialist architecture. He clarified the principled issues arising in creating architecture in each annals of socialist construction. Kim Jong Il published the work "Theory of Architectural Art" on May 21, Juche 80 (1991), giving an exposition of the issues of the essence of architecture and its attribute, the revolutionary nature of the socialist architecture and Juche-based architecture and its characteristics. In different works he put forward the original idea on creating architecture based on the revolutionary outlook on the leader. He clarified principled issues and ways to develop socialist architecture in the DPRK into a Juche-based and popular new architecture to meet the requirements of the developing era and the aesthetic and emotional taste of the people. The above-said works are powerfully arousing all service personnel and people to the struggle for building a thriving nation with their great attraction and vitality. |
