The Korean People's Army (KPA), Juche-based revolutionary armed forces, dealt merciless counter-blows at the enemy on the island, getting it engulfed in flames, the statement said, and went on:

The fear-stricken south Korean puppet forces and their American master ran helter-skelter.

The south Korean puppet forces held even a "commemoration event", painting their heavy defeat as "victory," far from drawing a lesson from the shelling battle.

It was foolish, indeed, to describe a complete military setback as a "victory."

At that time the south Korean puppet forces implored the KPA to stop shelling.

They are still persisting in their reckless provocations against the DPRK. This indicates that they have not yet drawn a lesson from their defeat.

We are confident that the army and people of the DPRK will firmly defend the homeland of Juche, reunify the country and surely build a people's land of bliss under the wise guidance of Marshal Kim Jong Un, supreme commander of the KPA, it stressed.
