Displayed in the exhibition are fine art pieces depicting immortal revolutionary career and noble and popular traits of Kim Jong Il including Korean painting "Sprit of a Thriving Nation", oil painting "General Kim Jong Il, Brilliant Songun Commander" and "Visiting Sentries in the Forefront".

Also on display there are works showing the spirit of the Korean people translating the behests of Kim Jong Il into reality. They include Korean painting "Kosan Fruit Farm", "Speed on Masik Pass Sweeping across the Country" and poster "Let's Turn Sepho Tableland into a Large-sized Stockbreeding Base!"

An opening ceremony was held at the Korean Art Gallery on Thursday.

Present there were Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier of the Cabinet, An Tong Chun, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of the Unions of Art and Literature of Korea, officials concerned and those of ministries and national institutions, artists and youth and students in Pyongyang.
