Workers and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea held a meeting to make a resolution at the Central Hall of Workers, agricultural workers at the Mangyongdae Vegetable Farm in Mangyongdae District and members of the women's union at the Hall of Women.

Reports were made at the meetings to be followed by speeches.

Reporters and speakers said that Kim Jong Il successfully led the Korean revolution by dint of the might of Songun and put the dignity of Juche Korea and its national power on a high level, performing immortal feats for the country and the nation, the era and the history.

His life was the most brilliant one of an outstanding revolutionary and peerless patriot who ushered in the world of patriotic devotion with his iron will and superhuman efforts, holding high the red flag of the revolution, they noted.

They underscored the need to hold Kim Jong Il in high esteem forever and step up the building of a thriving nation, rallied close around supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

They called for working hard to build an economic power and a highly civilized socialist nation with the revolutionary faith and the might of single-minded unity further consolidated through the enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea guided by Kim Jong Un.

Present at the meetings were Ri Yong Su, department director of the WPK Central Committee, officials concerned and those of working people's organizations, workers, members of trade unions, agricultural workers and members of the women's union.
