The workshop marked a historic occasion in glorifying the feats of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and ushering in the period of great prosperity in construction in the era of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Taking the platform of the closing ceremony were senior party, state and army officials including Pak Pong Ju and Choe Ryong Hae, chief secretaries of the provincial committees of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairpersons of the provincial people's committees, officials of the Cabinet, ministries and national institutions, officials of the army and society in the field of construction and heroes and persons of distinguished services who performed feats in major construction projects.

A letter of pledge to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the ceremony.

Kwak Pom Gi, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, made a closing address.

He said that the great workshop was a historic meeting which strikingly demonstrated the strong will and invincible spirit of officials in the field of construction, and soldier-builders, architects and builders across the country to put the nation's construction work on the world's level at an early date, true to the historic letter of Kim Jong Un.
