Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Demise Commemorated Abroad
Pyongyang, December 14 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of demise of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

They included a seminar in Russia, a remembrance meeting in Norway, a remembrance meeting, book and photo exhibition and film show in Switzerland on December 6 and 7.

On display in the venues of the events were photos documenting the immortal revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il. Also displayed there were works of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and supreme leader Kim Jong Un and books and photos introducing Songun Korea.

Participants in the film show watched a Korean film documenting Songun revolutionary exploits of Kim Jong Il.

T. N. Esikova, chairwoman of the Maritime Territorial Branch of the All-Russia Women's Council "Hope of Russia", said that Kim Jong Il serves as an ever-lasting banner of the world socialist movement as he decisively frustrated the vicious aggressive moves of the imperialist allied forces and honorably defended the dignity and sovereignty of the country.

Dag Norum, chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway, noted that Kim Jong Il was the greatest man, peerless patriot, outstanding thinker and theoretician and master of leadership.

Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, said that Kim Jong Il was a distinguished statesman who successfully led the revolutionary cause of Juche with his distinguished foresightedness.

A message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event held in Switzerland.
