The youth and students delegation of the DPRK took part in the meeting and seminars held on the themes of "Unity and cooperation in youth struggle for peace, sovereignty and solidarity", "Crisis of capitalism, conditions of young people and prospect of social change", "Imperialists' blockade to economically stifle other countries", etc.

Members of the DPRK delegation made speeches under the titles including "To put an end to the imperialists' aggression and war moves is the urgent demand for building independent and peaceful new world" and "It is the irresistible trend of the times to advance towards socialism", etc.

They said it is the law to govern the development of history for the people to advance along the road of socialism, calling upon the progressive youth desirous of independence to resolutely smash the anti-socialist moves of the imperialist allied forces.

Youth and student delegates from different countries hoped that the Korean people including youth would win victories only in the struggle against imperialism and renewed their will to boost support and solidarity for their struggle.

Meanwhile, an international solidarity forum in support of the Korean people and youth for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country was held on Dec. 11.

The forum adopted an appeal to the world progressive youth and students organizations.

The appeal expressed full support for the principled stand of the DPRK government to achieve durable peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and the independent and peaceful reunification of the country and its fair and aboveboard proposals for reunification and the struggle of the Korean people.

The appeal underlined the need to launch positive international solidarity activities for bitterly denouncing the hostile policy towards the DPRK pursued by the U.S., the root cause of escalating tension on the Korean Peninsula, and its moves for a nuclear war, and urging the U.S. to immediately withdraw all the aggression forces including nuclear war hardware from south Korea.

It expressed the belief that the world progressive youth and students would further boost the international solidarity in support of the just struggle of the Korean people for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.

A letter to supreme leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the forum.
