The participants observed a moment silence in memory of Kim Jong Il.

Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania, explained the main contents of Kim Jong Il's work "Socialism Is a Science" and said:

Kim Jong Il published this work late in the last century when socialism collapsed in East European countries, clarifying the scientific accuracy, validity and truth of socialism.

He authored lots of works. His ideological and theoretical exploits serve as valuable heritage of not only the Korean revolution but also the world socialist movement.

He, eternal general secretary of the Workers' Party and great leader of the Korean people, was the defender and distinguished leader of the world socialist movement.

We will as ever struggle in the front against imperialism shoulder to shoulder with the WPK headed by Kim Jong Un.

The exploits of Kim Jong Il are immortal.

Speakers including Aleksandr Neves Rosendo da Silva, chairperson of the Brazilian Center for the Study of the Juche Idea, in the seminar on Kim Jong Il's work "Let Us Advance under the Banner of Marxism-Leninism and the Juche Idea" praised Kim Jong Il as gifted thinker and theoretician and distinguished leader who made immortal contributions to developing the revolutionary theory of working class and accomplishing the human cause of independence.
