The Uruguayan paper La Juventud said his traits are characterized by his love for the people, adding:

He loved the people so ardently that he pursed benevolent politics rare to be found in the world.

His greatest pleasure was the happiness of the people.

He took even a thorny path if it was for the happiness of the people.

The Brazilian Committee for Solidarity with the DPRK in an article posted on its website said Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il was born in snowy February and the people paid the last farewell with him in snowy December, adding his life was characterized by purity like snow.

A Bulgarian paper said Kim Jong Il was a model of genuine patriots, adding his love for the country was very sincere and warm.

The Lao paper Congtap Pasason Lao said his noble life will always be remembered by the Korean people and progressive mankind.
