Zelenov, first secretary of the Nakhodka City Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events for praising the noble revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of his demise.
